The 11th Annual Pangolin User Meeting was a great success with around 40 people in attendance from
around the world.
Introduction to Pangolin and Staff
During this portion of the meeting, Pangolins president William Benner introduced Pangolin Laser Systems and the full staff of Pangolin.
Demonstration of new features, LCFlash and LivePro
During this portion of the meeting, the new
features of the LD2000 system were demonstrated, including the new
Enhanced Reality Preview with the new ability to simulate moving fog
and infinite beams.
New Technology and Art-ware presentations
We were very fortunate to have two presentations of some brand new technology, and one presentation of new art-ware options available for the Pangolin platform.
New Technologies: Utopia, LightCube laser, and Apollo SuperMicro scanning system
Lutz Bartlz of HB Laserkomponenten presented a discussion about the Utopia Software Suite -- an add-on for the LD2000 system. Lutz also showed a very compact laser and projector system called the LightCube that is capable of producing up to 10 watts of laser light, yet consumes only a moderate amount of power. And finally, Lutz passed around a new tiny scanning system called the Apollo SuperMicro. HB believes that this is the world's smallest integrated scanning system. New Technology: Laserlight Showcontrol
Patrick Dietzel of Laserlight Showdesign presented a discussion about the latest version of his show performance software called Laserlight Showcontrol. The latest version has some great new features that allow you to quickly create and organize your shows, and additional support for new LD2000 features including Projection Zones and Enhanced Reality Preview. Art-ware: Laser Fantasy Showcase Song Modules

Established for the first time last year, Pangolin continued its tradition of providing a wide variety of foods to choose from. This year we selected the food court of the Coronado Springs Convention Center. This food court provided American, Mexican, Chinese, and Italian foods, as well as pastries and a full complement of beverages.
Pangolin Prize Presentation
This year, we had 32 entries for the Pangolin
Prize competition. This is more than the number of entries
received in any prior year. All entries were EXCELLENT and around
half were created with
Lasershow Converter MAX.
The Pangolin Meeting wrapped up with a new idea
that Hayden Hale presented -- the idea of a game show called "Stump
Bill Benner". The idea is that Pangolin Meeting attendees would ask
a variety of questions of Bill Benner to see if he could answer. If
Bill was not able to answer, the attendee who posed the question
would theoretically get a prize.
